Today's dry blasting industry is slowly being confined to indoor commercial blasting booths to meet air quality and environmental restrictions.  However, many objects that need cleaning are permanently fixed and/or too large to fit into a booth. Mobile wet blasting solves all these issues.   We can work on your site where conventional dry abrasive blasting cannot.  

Unlike dry abrasive blasting, wet blasting (also known as dustless, vapor, slurry or hydro blasting) creates virtually no dust.  Any dust created is basically what dries on the ground (media drop). Wet blasting typically uses lower air pressure, water and media to clean, strip and profile (etch) surfaces of all types. These include; concrete, asphalt, decorative pavers, stone, brick, glass, steel, aluminum and stainless just to name a few. 

Capital Wetblasting uses two mobile machines with air capacities of 375cfm and 800cfm. Both systems can remove coatings, clean, restore and profile , but every surface is different.  And it's critical to be able to adjust the required combination of air pressure, water, media (abrasive) and media type as well as the nozzle size and blasting distance from the surface.  So we can etch glass with low pressure and fine media or remove industrial coatings with higher pressure and coarse media.   Wet blasting creates no heat at the point of impact, which eliminates part warping on thin metal.  Nor does it generate static electricity as with dry blasting.  This is critical if you're removing paint from a fuel tank! The system is environmentally friendly and can even be performed indoors.
